This week in science we did forensic science. Forensic science is when a crime happens they use science to help solve crimes and murder.
Shane set up a fake murder and we had to find out who did and how they did it. So far we know that the victim was poisoned and we think that a guy named Stanley Wings killed her. We had to test red threads because all of the suspects were wearing red and a red thread was left on the victim. This is as far as we got on that case.
How do they know how long the victim been dead?

Forensic scienctists use many different techniques to find out how long a body has been dead. They can take the temperature of the liver by inserting a thermometer into it. If the body was outside they can look at insect activity. Sciencetists have to take into consideration many variables such as temperature, sunlight and animal activity.
